Andrea E. Peeks

Andrea is a legislative fiscal analyst for the Committee and has been in this position since July 2021.  She is currently responsible for providing staff support for the areas of Capital Outlay and General Government.

 Prior to joining the Appropriations Committee Staff, Andrea served in various roles in state and local government, including 6 years as a budget and policy analyst with the Department of Planning and Budget, four years as Deputy Director of the Division of Engineering and Buildings with the Department of General Services, four years as the Budget and Performance Reporting Manager with the Virginia Retirement System, and two years with Chesterfield County. 

Andrea holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington and a Master's in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Andrea is a graduate of the Virginia Executive and Commonwealth Management Institutes.
