Kim is a legislative fiscal analyst for the Committee with responsibility for providing staff support on issues concerning the Commerce and Trade, Labor and Elections areas of the budget. She has been in this role since 2020.
Prior to joining Appropriations Committee staff, Kim served as the Director of Public Policy for the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Deputy Director of the Virginia Chamber Foundation. In these roles, she oversaw the creation and execution of Blueprint Virginia 2025, an economic competitiveness plan for the Commonwealth. She worked for the Council on Virginia's Future prior to her tenure at the Chamber where she collaborated with members of the executive and legislative branches of government on key issues, such as education, workforce development, economic growth, and performance management.
Kim holds two degrees from Virginia Tech: A Bachelor’s of Arts in History (2007) and Masters of Public Administration (2009).
